DSLR Photography: Level 1
This workshop is aimed at photographers who already have a grasp of basic photographic principals and is ideal for those who have already attended a basic beginners Digital Photography course
Although not restricted it is ideal for users of DSLR cameras who will get the most out of the day.
This course will concentrate on the stucture of a photo and learning to think like a photographer.
- Composition and use of light
- Refining your cameras exposure by adding or subtracting light using exposure compensation
- Use of fill flash
- Creative blurs using pans, slow shutter speeds and zooms
I will answer individual questions and provide assistance to those who are experiencing specific problems with their photography throughout the day.
At the end of the photography session we will return to the classroom and download each student’s images to critique. This is likely the most important part of the day as you can learn much from looking at your own images, and the work of others.
Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 6 participants so everyone will receive substantial personal attention.
Price only $150 per person
Workshops commence at 9.00 am and conclude around 6.00 pm. Please bring your own beverages and a packed lunch
Workshops will take place on Gabriola Island. I can pick students up at the ferry if you prefer to cross as a foot passenger. We can also offer overnight b&b accommodation for those travelling from farther afield on a first come first served basis. Please call 250 247 9109 for details and availability.
